Skyline Eco-Adventures, Hawaii’s Award Winning commercial zipline company and operator of the first zipline course in the United States, will hold their 5th Annual “Zip for the Trees” community event and fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 15th 2015, at itsSkyline Haleakala, Maui course.

The 5th annual event is in support of Maui Children’s charities along with the native reforestation on Skyline’s Haleakala, Maui zipline course.  Funds are raised by selling $40 zipline tours that allow guests to zipline through towering eucalyptus trees on three exhilarating ziplines at Skyline’s original course on the slopes of Haleakala, including Maui’s only pendulum zipline reaching speeds of more than 45 miles per hour. All proceeds from the event will benefit three local charities: The Children’s Justice Center, the Hui Malama Learning Center, and Maui Youth and Family Services.

Participants will also enjoy live music by famed Hawaiian musician Paula Fuga along with the Hawaiian Ukulele Rock Band, Kenekoa.  The day’s events will include prizes, and giveaways, horseback rides, food for purchase, and more. Pacific Media Group will be on site with a radio remote with Mackie Mac and Da Jam 98.3.  Skyline employees and volunteers have planted over 3,000 native trees since 2002 and removed invasive species in a large-scale effort to restore the native forest. Volunteers will plant over 300 native trees at this year’s event.

Last year’s event raised over $7,500 for Maui Children’s charities and more than 60 volunteers worked to restore nearly 1 acre of native forest.
