Escorted by well-travelled and enthusiastic staff, all tours and cruises are designed to give insight into local cultures, support local businesses and minimise the impact on the environment.
Reservations and operations teams provide support to direct clients and travel agents from offices in London, Sydney and Cuzco. Your holiday is protected by AITO and TCF bonding.
Tucan Travel has six different travel styles to suit any traveller.
Discovery Tours
Travel in powerful, modern, comfortable, private vehicles, and stay in comfortable hotels, with like-minded travellers from around the world. Your group could consist of travellers of any almost any age (recommended max 70) so you’re sure to find a friend. Single supplements are available if you’d like your own room.
Adventure Tours
This travel style is for you if you really want to get to know the country you’re travelling in! You’ll travel in small groups of up to 18 people, with ages ranging from 18 to 60 (recommended maximum 65). You’ll take a variety of different forms of transport, sitting side-by-side with the locals and you’ll stay in small, locally-run hotels and guest houses.
Overland Expeditions
For the nature-loving outdoors-orientated traveller aged 18 to 45 (recommended maximum 55) with plenty of time to explore. You’ll travel in a powerful, modern, custom-built expedition vehicle that can easily cope with the rugged terrain, and get to see the ’unseen’ country. Accommodation varies and includes small hotels, camping, local homestays and hammocks!
Budget Expeditions
As the name suggests, these are great value tours for budget conscious travellers. Designed for people aged 18 to 35 (recommended max 35), transport and accommodation varies according to where you travel, but does include camping, hostels and pleasant hotels.
Independent Travel
Are ideal for when you want the freedom to design your own itinerary. The flexibility of this travel style means the accommodation and transport varies widely - transport options cover everything from flights to canoes! Choose from a range of levels of hotels, airport transfers, full-day guided tours, longer stopover packages, treks, excursions and language schools.
Expedition Cruises
Perfect for adventure travellers aged between 11 and 65 (recommended max 70) who are looking for a way to experience remote areas of the world in comfort and style. Forget about boring casinos, cabaret shows and ‘floating hotels’ and take a cruise less ordinary, exploring the Amazon rainforest, Galapagos Islands, Patagonia, Arctic Circle or Antarctica. If you’re interested in walking across diverse and fascinating landscapes, snorkelling and swimming activities, lectures by knowledgeable naturalist guides and meeting local people, Expedition Cruises are for you.
