A Russian language course on the Transsiberian Railway in 1986 was the first trip that Lernidee Trains & Cruises carried out. The travellers were full of praise and even the New York Times reported about this event. From these days the name "Lernidee" (learning concept) derives even though the company no longer offers language course trips, now concentrating on its extensive "Erlebnisreisen" (adventure & experiential tours) programs for tourists.
