☰The Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA) was founded in 2003 when a group of inbound operators recognized that there were a number of challenges facing the industry, and that there was no existing mechanism for industry members to speak with one voice. Inbound tourism is one of Jordan’s premier export industries, producing more than 12 percent of Jordan’s gross domestic product (GDP) and employing more than 36,000 directly and thousands more indirectly. JITOA was formed to ensure that the needs of this important industry and economic engine were met.
JITOA was established with the vision of effectively contributing to the sustainable growth and development of Jordan’s tourism industry leading to enhanced economic and social benefits to Jordan. Currently JITOA has approximately seventy members including: Jordan inbound tour operators, hotels, event management companies, investment groups, transportation companies, business associations, individual tourism professionals, among others.

JITOA’s Mission: To raise the standards of the inbound tourism industry in Jordan
JITOA also advocates for better government tourism related laws and policies and provides training and education programs for members and nonmembers in the tourism industry. Most importantly, JITOA offers the opportunity to unite the tour operators and its partners in the tourism industry to provide strong leadership, to increase recognition of the association and its members and to ensure long-term economic competitiveness and growth.
