The new tour launched by "Live love Hike - premium walking holidays": an eight-day, guided tour in the Portuguese Camino de Santiago, from Porto, explores the best trails of northern Portugal and the Galicia region!

This is a one-week walking holiday, exploring the best trails of the Portuguese Camino de Santiago. We'll hike in trails in both the Central Camino, which starts inland from Porto, via Ponte de Lima, and the Coastal Camino, which explores the coastline of northern Spain, to experience the best trails of the Portuguese Camino experience! Click here for more info on this Walking Tour by the Portuguese Camino.

Starting from Porto, we'll hike towards Santiago de Compostela, experiencing the trails, villages, landscapes, gastronomy, and culture of both the Central path of the Camino and the Coastal path, discovering the best of the Minho region and Galiza in Spain. Walking the Camino is an epic journey, that started in the 9th Century with the discovery, in Galiza, of the remains of St. James. In 1325, the Portuguese queen Isabel made a pilgrimage to Santiago following a route very similar to the one that today is marked with yellow arrows, crossing the then recently built Barcelos bridge.

In this tour, you'll get to visit Ponte de Lima, Valença, Labruja in the Minho region, walking by the central path's trails and dirt tracks, ancient Roman roads and municipal roads - It’s of enormous diversity, and there’s always a surprise on every bend. In the coastal Camino, you'll immerse in the scenario of the best coastal trails, near Esposende, Vigo's Ria and enjoy the fresh seafood, the breathtaking views over the Atlantic ocean and the quiet beaches. By the coastal path, we'll hike by woodland areas, small villages and “pueblos” that still seem to be in the Middle Ages.
