Seattle, WA - The Kusini Collection is pleased to announce the latest additions to our Africa portfolio:  Norman Carr Safaris in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia; Chongwe Safaris in the Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia; Imvelo Safari Lodges in Zimbabwe; and Travel Ethiopia, based in Addis Ababa. The Kusini Collection is a boutique travel marketing and sales firm representing ground-handlers, camps and lodges in Africa and Latin America to the North American travel trade.

Norman Carr Safaris, established in 1950 in an era when safaris were primarily about hunting, Norman Carr led the way in developing photographic safaris as an alternative way of interacting with animals. Unchanged in 60 years is their dedication to sharing and preserving the unique wilderness of the Luangwa Valley through authentic safari experiences of the highest standard. Widely known and recognized for offering some of the best walking safaris in Africa, Norman Carr operates six camps and lodges in the South Luangwa National Park - Kapani Lodge, Luwi, Nsolo, Kakuli and Mchenja bush camps and the wildly luxurious and award-winning Chinzombo.

Established in 1996, Chongwe Safaris is one of the oldest and most respected safari operators in the Lower Zambezi, Zambia. Renowned for its first-class service and prime location on the edge of the Lower Zambezi National Park, this award-winning operator includes the Chongwe River Camp, Kasaka River Lodge, Tsika Island Bush Camp and the exclusive and private Chongwe River House. Offering an unmatched variety of activities including their flagship experience canoe safaris, the goal of all the camps is to create a home away from home for each guest; a place to unwind and switch off from the rest of the world. Norman Carr Safaris and Chongwe Safaris are now partner companies, both owner-operated and together offering an unrivaled and comprehensive Zambian safari experience.

Travel Ethiopia is a privately owned, eco-minded tour and safaris operator with 20 years of experience in the region. They are uniquely experienced to introduce traveler to the myriad facets of Ethiopia, both past and present. Travel Ethiopia’s concern for and attention to each client is personal and unmatched. Staffed with a highly qualified team (including female guides, a rarity in Ethiopia), Travel Ethiopia specializes in coordinating individual and group travel, including tailor-made safaris, expeditions and birding tours throughout Ethiopia.

Imvelo Safari Lodges operates four lodges in the Victoria Falls area, the Zambezi National Park and adjacent to Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe - Gorges Lodge, Bomani Tented Lodge, Camelthorn Lodge and Zambezi Sands River Camp.  Three of their lodges are built on community conservancies bordering national parks on land belonging to local villages. This leads to a smaller environmental footprint in the park and provides a powerful economic benefit for local communities as well as an incentive to protect wildlife.  Guests who stay at these unique, owner-run lodges enjoy incomparable wildlife and photographic safaris with highly experienced guides, guided game walks, bird watching, spectacular views and surroundings, adrenaline packed activities, luxurious accommodation, and thoughtful and attentive staff.
