The Dyer Island Conservation Trust delivers unique conservation and research programs in a fragile marine and critically important marine eco-system. They strive to protect the largest surviving colonies of the endangered African Penguin whose numbers are at an all-time low; the globally important breeding and calving grounds of the Southern Right Whale; and the world's densest populations of the vulnerable Great White Shark. This project benefits the marine eco-system as well as local partners - local communities, legislators and visitors.
Travelers can help protect the unique eco-system by sponsoring a variety of projects such as a penguin nest, penguin rehabilitation, a block of ocean for scientific research, an environmental education session, and more.
The Dyer Island Conservation Trust is the non profit arm of Marine Dynamics & Dyer Island Cruises.
