Machu Picchu, Choquequirao & tailored adventure trekking adventures

About Apus Peru Adventure Travel Specialists

Apus Peru Adventure Travel Specialists are a fresh and enthusiastic Peru trek and tour operator founded by travellers who understand what other adventurers are looking for in their vacation time.

Starting out as Cusco region trekking specialists, Apus Peru has gained a reputation for operating high quality off the beaten track, innovative trekking itineraries that feature Machu Picchu, Ausangate or lesser known destinations. They were pioneers in establishing the premier Choquequirao to Machu Picchu trek that links two famous lost Inca cities.  (Can be done in 7,8 or 9 days)  Treks are customisable, meeting different clients needs – so more rugged types head out on ‘No Frills’ adventure treks, while those that appreciate a little comfort can do challenging long distance treks with “Comfort Camping.”

An official, licensed Inca trail operator, Apus Peru operates the world famous Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, with an emphasis on sustainable trekking and good porter treatment. With Apus Peru customisable itineraries, you are also able to combine your Machu Picchu experience with a wide range of cultural, or trekking experiences.

Renowned for  operating excellent and different treks, Apus Peru found that clients were also seeking genuine cultural interactions in and around the Cusco area, to see the main sites, but to also delve a little deeper to see and experience the “real Peru.”   Their sensitively designed, unique, cultural itineraries are perfect for families and travellers who wish to get away from the tourist trail, but staying in boutique hotels and sampling Peru’s delicious cuisine.

Practicing sustainable, ethical and responsible tourism Apus Peru donate $15 from each client to their partner Peruvian NGO, Threads of Peru.  They were also the first Cusco trekking agency to gain Rainforest Alliance verification.
