About Wild Guanabana

...why do we exist?

WILD GUANABANA [gwuh-nah-buh-nuh] is centered on the belief that the world is an incredible place truly worth exploring and discovering. That by removing ourselves from the annoyances of everyday life and taking on new and challenging experiences, be it discovering a new culture, seeing an incredible sunrise or climbing a mountain, we grow and learn more about ourselves in ways we never thought possible. We fondly think of ourselves as a platform for Life Changing Journeys to unfold and know nothing more fulfilling than creating and sharing these experiences with others.

...our sustainability ethos

We are the Middle East and North Africa’s first CarbonZero travel company. We understand and appreciate that the natural environment and the host communities in which we choose to operate are equally vital to the long-term success of our business. As a result, we are committed to practices aimed at both, minimizing the negative and maximizing the positive impacts that we may have on the environment and local communities in the process. We believe in the triple bottom line (people, planet, profit) approach to doing business and seek to do our bit to help where needed.

 ...so why the funky name?

“I first tasted the native Latin American fruit guanabana while hiking through the dense jungles of Costa Rica in 2003. I never forgot the experience and years later when I sat pondering over a company name it all came rushing back to me. Just like eating the multi-pitted guanabana, crafting a truly unique journey requires patience. Yet both reward us with an unforgettably beautiful experience that engages our every sense. The name embodies what we are all about; it’s different, daring and green. Besides, WILD GUANABANA is super fun to say. If you don’t believe me, go ahead and try it.” - Omar Samra, Founder & Chief Guanabana.

...so what do we do exactly?
