Dashanbao is a national nature reserve. It is located in Dashanbao Township, the western Zhaoyang District, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province. It is lied on the plateau surface of the range branch of Wulianfeng (Five-Lotus-Peak) mountain of Liangshan Mountain System on Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. The geomorphic elemental type is alpine hills. It is a mountain-type scenic tourist area integrating nature reserves and natural landscapes. There are Jigong Shan (Cock Mountain) Cliffs and Jigong Shan Grand Canyon. Jigong Shan is named after its majestic shape like as the rooster holding its head high. There are three cliffs of Jigong Shan, and only the "chicken neck" has a dangerous path about 70 cm wide. Please take a closer look at the photos. Our friend Dr. Chen climbed up to the "chicken head" and experienced the spectacular scenery of Jigong Shan.
