G Adventures launches 11 new Yolo™ trips

Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin on a one-week tour of Ireland, witnessing the feeding of orangutans in Sumatra, savoring local specialties on a street food crawl in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and learning about Aboriginal Dreamtime in Australia are just some of the experiences travelers will enjoy on G Adventures’ expanded range of more than 125 Yolo™ trips in 2014.

Designed for younger, budget-minded travelers, Yolo™ trips maximize time and money by covering a lot of ground while delivering must-see highlights with other high-energy explorers. Small groups, insider access and personal freedom define this travel style – one of seven that G Adventures offers.

In response to increased demand, 11 new Yolo™ trips have been added to the program, all designed with affordability and flexibility in mind. Travelers stay in simple hotels and guesthouses chosen for location and character with some itineraries based around camping. A mix of public and private transportation is utilized for maximum cultural interaction, and plenty of free time is built in to allow for optional activities tailored to travelers’ interests and budget, all of which are defining characteristics of the Yolo™ travel style. The trips all maintain the traditional aspects of a G Adventures tour including the services of a Chief Experience Officer and provide a truly local, cultural vacation.

Leah Griffin, Innovation Manager, G Adventures, says the trips appeal to the millennial generation eager to interact with the world as it truly is and wanting the social element that traveling with like-minded, younger explorers in a small, international group provides.

Yolo™ travelers will enjoy experiences such as exploring the national parks in the USA, sailing through the Whitsundays in Queensland, Australia, and learning a traditional dance at a céilidh in Scotland.

“Our already robust Yolo™ program just got bigger with new offerings in Europe, Australia and Indonesia. I think we’ve got something for everyone in the Yolo™ demographic,” says Griffin.

The new Yolo™ brochure is available now. New itineraries include:
