Backroads Active Travel Rolls Out 2015 Trips and New Ways to Travel and Explore

BERKELEY, CA – While many are enjoying the last lazy days of summer, Backroads, the world’s leading active travel company, is gearing up for an exciting 2015 with the launch of more than 25 new trips. Today, Backroads unveiled nine new biking trips, and six new multisport and five new walking & hiking trips for the 2015 season, as well as introduced new options for active travel including river cruise biking trips, active gourmet trips, mother-daughter trips, snow adventures and spring training biking. And Backroads more than tripled the offering on their Family Breakaway trips–for families with older teens and 20-somethings.

For people interested in choosing an active travel experience, Backroads prides itself on providing the most options to meet the personalized needs and interests of its many guests. This season, Backroads is expanding its offerings with several new ways to travel including Active Gourmet trips, where travelers walk or bike amid a region’s natural landscape and then enjoy an epicurean experience alongside local chefs, and Danube River Cruise Biking, a one-of-a-kind biking trip from Prague to Budapest along the famed Danube River with a luxurious river ship as home base.

Backroads has also added a new Snow Adventure trip, challenging Spring Training bike conditioning trips, special Mother-Daughter getaways and Insider trips with more of an emphasis on cultural activity.
