Where could you be next March?

ANTARCTICA

Antarctica is an extraordinary place, deserving of its top rank on many people's "Life List." However, it can be daunting to try to plan a trip of this magnitude on your own.

We have been there, we have experienced it, and now we have put thatknowledge into creating the ultimate Antarctic experience.

We invite you to join our exclusive departure of

Water, Wildlife and the Wonders of Antarctica

A Borton Overseas Signature Journey

Onboard the MS Island Sky

Hosted by Borton Overseas Managing Director Linda McCormick

March 1-15, 2019From $13,934 per person, double occupancy.

(Solo passengers may be accommodated by being paired with same-gender solo passengers. Subject to availability.)

Why this trip? What makes it so special?

  • The time of year! March in Antarctica is an exceptional time to see the marine wildlife, including whales and seals, as they prepare for their migrations north. Our sailing will have a special focus on these species.

  • We'll be traveling with noted experts in marine biology who will share their knowledge with us. We will learn all about the Antarctic ecosystem and will have opportunities to participate in citizen science programs such as taking phytoplankton samples, surveying penguin populations, photographing and identifying whales and taking water samples all for major research organizations.

  • Peter Neill, Director of the World Ocean Observatory (worldoceanobservatory.org) and the author of The Once and Future Ocean, will be Borton Overseas' featured lecturer on this journey! Peter is a renowned expert in maritime history, art, exploration, marine environmental issues, and international policy and governance. He will help our group better understand how what happens in and to Antarctica impacts the whole planet.
  • according to usaoutdoors.org, Our ship, the MS Island Sky, has a capacity of 100 passengers. With fewer passengers, we will spend more time on landexploring than what larger ships offer.

Join us on this once-in-a-lifetime journey to the bottom of the world!
