The Explorer's Passage (TEP), the leader in historical-based adventure travel, is proud to announce an expansion of its offerings in 2016 to include Peru by launching The Path of the Sun Adventure. Guests on The Path of the Sun Adventure will explore the mystery of the Inca Empire, one of history’s greatest empires.

“We are very excited to be adding Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail as part of our suite of adventures. Little is known about Machu Picchu and much of its history is based on speculation,” says Jeff Bonaldi, Founder of The Explorer’s Passage, a tour guide company that emphasizes adventure and history. “Some people believe that the Inca Trail has a ceremonial purpose, and that it doesn't follow the flow of the Urubamba River but rather The Path of the Sun itself. This path travels from the breathtaking Island of the Sun on Lake Titicaca, through rustic Cusco, continuing along the historic Inca Trail, and up into the serene Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. We at The Explorer's Passage are providing an amazing opportunity for our guests to explore Machu Picchu in a unique way.”

The Path of the Sun Adventure features unparalleled service and excellence that guests have to come to expect from TEP’s other tours. From personalized attention and support on the trail, to some of the best hotels and restaurants in Peru off the trail, The Explorer's Passage continues to set the industry standard for producing extraordinary customer experiences.

Tour departure dates to begin in July 2016.
