VBT Announces New Refer a Friend Program

Refer a Friend on a VBT Vacation and Now Earn $150 in Travel Credits—a 50% increase in rewards

Bristol, VT - VBT Bicycling and Walking Vacations has announced its new Refer a Friend Program for 2014. When a traveler refers a friend to go on any VBT Bicycling, Walking, or Cross-Country Skiing Vacation they will now receive $150 in Travel Credits when the friend completes their first vacation with VBT. As an added bonus, each referred friend will save $75 on their first reservation. Additional cash rewards will also be given to travelers who refer multiple friends. Travelers will receive $250 for every three successfully referred travelers with no limit on Traveler Credits or cash rewards. Checks will be paid by VBT on December 31, 2013 and the cash incentive resets each calendar year.

According to post-trip surveys, 99.05% of all VBT travelers say they would recommend VBT vacations to their friends and nearly 20% of first-time travelers have been referred to VBT by other travelers. “I received an email asking if I would recommend a VBT trip to a friend. The truth is that we already have—at least 5 friends at latest count since we got back!” said a VBT traveler after returning from VBT’s The Czech Republic, Germany & Austria bicycling vacation. “The people who take VBT trips are all friendly, active, have interesting lives to share, and make for wonderful dinner companions. Couple that with stunning locations, wonderful guides and new life experiences. What’s not to love?”

The new Refer a Friend Program also increases the reward from $50 to $75 for first-time travelers who have been referred to take a VBT vacation by a former traveler like this guest, “Having traveled through part of Istria on a previous trip to Slovenia and Austria, it was my dream to see the Dalmatian coast. Then at a college reunion, one of my friends mentioned his trip to Italy with VBT, and I asked him to refer me” recalled a VBT traveler after booking his first VBT vacation. “When the catalog came, I was instantly drawn to Croatia: The Dalmatian Islands, the trip had all we wanted and hoped for and more.” With the new program, this traveler saved $75 a person on his reservation.
