El Choco from Bahia Solano to Nuqui, Pacific Coast in Colombia

The department of Choco is located in the northwest of the country on the Colombian Pacific Coast. Choco is characterized by an ecosystem of humid tropical rainforest and a very high level of biodiversity, of animals and plants.

Indigenous communities such as the Emberá and Waunan are located in this territory. This place is also known for having a large number of afro-Colombian inhabitants. They are well known for their happiness and simplicity. They open their doors to everyone in the world.

Tourism is a very important activity for the region, especially the ecotourism. On the Pacific Coast is possible to snorkel, surf, dive, and there are amazing views of dolphins, turtles, variety of fauna and flora and humpback whales. From July to October tourists can watch whales from the beach because these species come to feed their young.
