HD video of Minca and San Lorenzo in The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta on the Colombian Caribbean Coast. Our guide accompanies us to the beautiful, magical mountains which are the highest coastal range in the world. They have been declared Natural National Park of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and a UNESCO world heritage site.

At the Cuchillas viewpoint in San Lorenzo, we can observe the Sierra Nevada’s snow-capped peaks. The Colón and Bolivar peaks are more than 5700m high and on the other side we can see the Caribbean Sea and the Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta. It is a region with many of wax palms, pine trees, bromeliads and different kinds of endemic birds which come from the region, such as the Sierra Nevada parrots and an infinite number of hummingbirds.

Also, it is an excellent coffee production area and this coffee is cultivated and exported by la Hacienda la Victoria. There are many tropical flowers plantations, such as the Heliconias. We have found crystalline waterfalls likeThe Arimaka and the Pozo azul. The Minca river runs through the town located only 45 minutes from the Santa Marta city. Minca and San Lorenzo offer a good perspective of the region and the Caribbean Coast. It is the perfect place to visit for those who come to discover Colombia.
