Just a short trip across breathtaking Kachemak Bay from Homer, and easily accessible from the anywhere in the world, you’ll find a casually elegant lodge nestled on the edge of the Alaskan wilderness. Stillpoint Lodge is a second-generation, family owned and operated lodge originally built as a spiritual retreat for artists, and now available for individual vacations and private event bookings.
Inside the lodge, you'll find the perfect balance of grand architecture, Alaskan artistry, Scandinavian styling, simple, nature-inspired design, and a hint of Zen... with luxurious amenities one may not expect to find in such a setting. Step outside the lodge and into the pristine wilderness of Alaska’s Kachemak Bay. This designated critical habitat area is home to a remarkably high level of biological activity. Witness playful sea otters up-close in their natural habitat right from our dock.

Our guests enjoy the incredibly luxurious amenities of our lodge and secluded cabins, and also the freedom to explore the majestic beauty of nature. Stroll through our lovely gardens and trails, or even practice your golf swing… Activities include sea kayaking, glacier lake kayaking, hiking, stand up paddleboarding, boating and flight seeing by float plane or Learjet, bear viewing, bird watching, and of course fly-fishing and deep-sea fishing charters in the "Halibut Fishing Capital of the World".
Luxurious Amenities
Surrounded by spruce, birch, willow, alder, wildflowers and berry bushes, our secluded, eco-friendly, private log cabins were built with the intent of preserving as many of the natural features as possible. They are meticulously furnished with original artwork and solid wood furniture including comfortable beds dressed with hand-made quilts and cozy flannel sheets. While you will find creature comforts such as flush toilets, electricity and heaters, you won't find a television or a telephone... our guests relish this special time to disconnect.
The main lodge is a work of art, with cathedral ceilings, gorgeous stonework, and an indoor creek; bringing a little hint of nature indoors. The lounge and main activity room can double as conference and business meeting facilities, with plenty of space for yoga classes or a dance party. Our dining room features floor to ceiling views of gardens, mountains and ocean for an unforgettable culinary experience. You will be treated to three gourmet meals a day, featuring the freshest local and organic Alaskan ingredients, mindfully prepared from scratch by our award-winning chef and dedicated culinary team.
Soak in the hot tub and relax in our infrared sauna, then pamper yourself with a hot, high-pressure shower and a massage. Facilities include fresh filtered mountain stream water, private showers, flush toilets, locally-made, organic toiletries, fluffy oversize towels and plush personal robes. We strive for all of our products and practices to be eco-friendly and sustainable.

Surrounded by Alaska's only state wilderness park, Kachemak Bay State Park, the only way to reach Stillpoint Lodge's uniquely Alaskan home is by boat or float plane. The village of Halibut Cove is rich with history. Originally settled in 1911 by Scandinavian fishermen, many of Halibut Cove’s residents still fish for salmon, halibut and cod in Kachemak Bay. Local shellfish farmers also take advantage of our deep, crystal clear, nutrient dense waters for sustainably growing oysters and blue mussels. Many residents are artists who exhibit their work seasonally at the local fine art galleries along the boardwalk. Discover numerous unique dining options in the cove, with incredible views, live music, interesting people and renowned cuisine. The Cove provides a majestic setting for a unique experience.
