Their home-stay style Adventure Holidays come with a uniquely warm and welcoming hospitality that ensures guests become a part of their “extended family”. The lead guide is owner and director, Andrew Bateman. Having a background in Geology and a life long interest in natural history Andrew’s breadth of knowledge of the mountain environment is unrivalled. He is a full qualified mountain walking guide with over 14 years guiding experience, 12 of these year round guiding for Mountain Innovations. The food is Andrew’s partner’s responsibility. Rebecca’s passions are her delicious home cooking and kitchen garden. Whether we’re staying in a quaint cottage or grand highland lodge on the Isle of Skye, in Knoydart, Kintail, Assynt, Arran, Torridon or at their own lodge in the Cairngorm National Park the formula is the same. Fresh bread is baked daily, she makes her own chutneys and preserves and we grow as much organic home produce as possible. Should you pick wild berries or mushrooms under Andy’s guidance, they, along with influences both local and abroad are incorporated into Rebecca’s imaginative dishes. She’s always being asked for the recipes and many guests leave vowing to maintain their elevated standard of living.
