PolarQuest is world leading in operating small ship expedition cruises to Svalbard and Sweden’s leading organiser of expedition cruises to the Polar Regions. We have specialised in Polar expeditions since 1999, and the founders of the company worked in these regions for many years before that. With great enthusiasm, extensive knowledge and care for the individual, we take you to some of the most remote and exciting destinations on the planet, many of them are difficult or even impossible to get on your own. Our expeditions are for ordinary people who want to experience the extraordinary, such as close encounters with polar bears in Svalbard, the pearl of the Arctic, or hike among 400 000 king penguins on South Georgia, on our way to the Antarctic Peninsula. Our Polar vessels are comfortable and are unique in the way we only have small groups on board. This allow us more time ashore and higher flexibility in the itinerary and we always aim to maximise the nature experience for every traveller. This is how we offer an entirely different experience from what you get on a larger and more conventional cruise ship. Each day we try to make several landings with our Zodiac landing crafts and our knowledgeable guide team. Delicious meals and comfortable cabins are also part of our trademark. Our small ships operate in pristine wilderness areas. We travel carefully through these ecologically sensitive places, striving to have minimal impact on its nature and wildlife. PolarQuest are proud members of AECO (Association of Arctic Expedition Cruise Operators),an organization promoting sustainable tourism in Svalbard. Another important membership is IAATO (International Association of Antarctic Tour Operators) that is the equivalent organization for operators in Antarctica. On request of our customers we also arrange exclusive trips to warm and unique destinations in Asia, Africa and South America with Nature & Wildlife focus. Our ReQuest-trips can be described as luxiourious adventures in warmer climates. After been listening to our returning clients requests, many exotic trips as been created. Destinations that often are hard to get to as a traveller and that gives an unique mix of great predators, colourful birds, historical places and exciting cultural meetings. The accomondation is always of the higheset class and we try to stay away from the beaten track as much as possible.
