Far from conventional tourism, Terres d’Aventure offers an encyclopaedia of unique locations and hideaways to discover step by step. Terres d’Aventure helps you cultivate the intense pleasure of changing pace, taking the time to see and experience things, finding out about the real lives of local inhabitants and being an active participant in your own trip. From the outset, our tours have reflected such values as respect, skill, fairness, quality guidance and safety.
Our travel offering: our trips are comprised of small groups of no more than 10 to 15 people, which is just right for travelling all over the globe, sharing discoveries and experiences.
In groups: hikers are always supervised by a guide with experience of the region chosen or a qualified mountain guide.
As a family: for parents who want to share their passion for travel with their children aged 4 to 15, we offer hikes and a range of fun and sporting activities to suit each individual. “In the steps of the Panamanian Indians”, “Camel riding in the Merzouga dunes” and “Walking in the footprints of the Yeti in Nepal” are just some of our magical trips for children!
For individuals: with more freedom than ever, hikers receive only the very best, and can set off with complete peace of mind. Rando-Liberté [self-guided hiking]: we provide a roadbook and a map for travellers who opt to set off unsupervised, enabling them to travel at their own pace. We take care of the accommodation and administration, and transport your luggage, leaving you free to enjoy the change of scenery and moments of discovery and amazement.
Rando-Lodge [lodge hiking]: for those of you who love travelling the globe on foot, but prefer charming accommodation and fine dining to camping outdoors, we have created the “lodge hiking” concept. After a day’s walking or cycling, you stay in a lodge perched the side of a mountain, a beautiful Alpine hotel or an exclusive nomad camp.
We also offer high altitude expeditions, with options from Mont Blanc to Mount Everest. Our base camp is in Chamonix. These are special trips which are unique because of their length, itinerary and theme. Great crossings and great treks. Trail stays. From the novice to the sportiest among you, these are trails for you to discover at a running pace, supervised by experienced guides
HISTORY
1976 : founding of Terres d’Aventure.
1992 : Terres d’Aventure pulls off a commercial first when it reaches the top of Everest with 3 customers.
2008 : Terres d’Aventure opens in Chamonix. A Cité des Voyageurs opens in Brussels.
2009 : Terres d’Aventure obtains its ATR [Action for Responsible Tourism] certification.
2011 : Terres d’Aventure celebrates its 35th anniversary.
2013 : : launch of the film festival adventure "Objective Adventure".
