About Walk Inn

WALK INN is an incoming agency - it all started in 2003 in Avignon, France, when several local guides with years of experience in guided walking and cycling trips decided to create their own company. They shared a great knowledge of France (Provence, French Riviera, Mercantour & Corsica), Mainland Portugal, Madeira, Azores, Cape Verde, Italy (lake region), so they created the first Walkinn tours based on what they really loved doing: guided walking & cycling tours!

Over the years the company grew into a real success and decided to branch out and add self-guided walking and cycling tours. We have had thousands of adventurers travel with us and we keep on creating 100% home made tours remaining faithful to our core values: authenticity, eco-friendly tourism, off the beaten tracks, handpicking our suppliers and maintainig well established relations with them so supporting local economies and assuring high quality tours.

We are also the preferred outfitter for many international tour operator partners for whom we create and run tours in the above mentioned destinations. Our in-depth knowledge of the regions, our long term relationships with suppliers enable us to create customized unique itinerairies according to the requirements (fitness level, length, budget).  Our pool of professional, qualified English/Portugese/French speaking hiking and cycling guides is run by our team in Avignon with 12 full time employees (in 2019), and we aim to open new destinations in the future around the globe!
