Endemic Iguana from Roatan, Honduras

The Roatan Spiny-tailed Iguana (Ctenosaura oedirhina) is endemic to the island of Roatan and its surrounding cayes. Roatan is the largest of the Bay Islands and is located in the Caribbean Sea approximately 55 kms north from mainland Honduras . This specimen was photographed on a day trip to Pigeon Caye, near Roatan, Honduras. Pigeon Caye is located 7 kms east of Roatan.
