The Gokyo Lake in Everest region is a great starting point for a few day hikes. going up the Gokyo Ri is the most famous one, and also the most crowded day hike. The day hike towards the remote Fifth Lake and Cho Oyu base camp is far less crowded. The entire day you walk right next to the giant and impressive Ngozumba Glacier. The entire day you enjoy a mighty impressive mountain scenery around you.
