One Horizon's Programs Enables Children to Go to School

We support over 300 children annually in education centres.   Our support is in providing the infrastructure (classrooms, teachers etc) as well as school resources and family support to enable their participation.   We ensure that the children in these centres are well feed, have access to clean water and good sanitation practices.  Without these, children and their families would not be able to take advantage of the opportunities to participate in education.  

We believe that for children to be successful they need to be supported from within the family unit.  We do not support the incarceration of children in facilities where they may be at greater risk.  We oppose tours of such establishments as many children have had a traumatic start to their lives and need to be able to heal.
