Oku Japan is happy to announce the launch of a new adventure, featuring sea kayaking, hiking, walking, and cycling.

Visit the local seaside port town of Tomonoura - the inspiration for the Studio Ghibli film Ponyo and explore the bay by boat. Take in the scenic island of Sensuijima for a relaxing detox Onsen spa bath and Miyajima, famous for friendly deer and the iconic 'floating' Torii gate off Itsukushima Shrine.

Enjoy rewarding walks through the history of Hiroshima and the beautiful hilltop scenery of Onomichi, where myriad maze-like stairways lead to welcoming local neighborhoods which overlook the stunning bay.

Cycle along our own version of the varied island-to-island Shimanami Kaido route, which passes over the Seto Inland Sea crossing remote islands, which together with spectacular scenery, afford deliciously fresh seafood cuisine and a uniquely modern coffee and cafe culture before reaching Ehime on Shikoku Island; the perfect entry point of our 4-day Shikoku 88 Pilgrimage tour.

The best part? All activities are completely optional and flexible, enabling visitors of all abilities to enjoy the hidden treasures of off-the-beaten-track Hiroshima.

5-day and 8-day versions of the trip are available. What are you waiting for? Let's get adventuring!
