Support our dream to race sleddogs in a more professional way. Long distance Sleddog Races - Arctic Nature and Dogs.
Our goal is to be part of the long-distance sleddog race, the Iditarod in Alaska - the longest sleddog race in the world with about 1800km.
For this kind of adventure, the dogs and I need to be prepared for the extreme cold temperatures, strong winds and running together over long distances. Therefore we plan to compete in sleddog races in Scandinavia over the next few years. During this time it is important to build confidence and trust with my dog team, to learn more about training and racing my dogs during long-distance races and to prepare myself mentally and physically for the challenge.
With your donation for our race season 2015/2016, we will be able to train and to race in a more professional way. For the upcoming season we need for example a new sled, a new trailer to travel safely with the dogs and your donation will as well help us to finance the starting fee for the races. Our home is based on a wonderful lake in Swedish Lapland at the Arctic Circle. From December on we have great training conditions here, but in November we often need to travel in search for snow. That is the fun part - being on a trip with our dogs and enjoying the freedom of the North. I really enjoy that - and the dogs even more so because we spent even more time together.
