Galapagos National Park Conservation Efforts

As part of the eradication programs for introduced rodents in South Plaza Island the hiking activities will be temporarily suspended from November 17th to  December 17th,  our involved departures are; for M/V Legend-Nov 26 and for M/Y Corals-Nov 18, Dec 02 and 16. Activities such as snorkeling and a dinghy ride around North and South Plazas Islands will be allowed during this period.

The Galapagos National Park on its efforts for the conservation in the Island has informed some restrictions to be applied in two points of visit from now on.  Due to the penguin nesting season from September to December and flightless cormorants nesting season from May to September, dinghy ride in Punta Moreno is forbidden, this visit is included in our itineraries; M/V Legend itinerary B –Friday and M/YCoral itinerary B-Friday, however, hiking and snorkeling  are still allowed in Punta Moreno.

Punta Abermarle in Isabela Island, as well as Punta Mangle in Fernandina, will have the same restrictions during the mentioned months; these sites are not included in our itineraries.
