Running in Paris over the Sept. 20-23, 2018 Disneyland® Paris Magic Run Weekend offers enchantment plus.

For starters, celebrating its 25th year, Disneyland® Paris will be buzzing with the Marvel Summer of Super-Heroes through Sept. 30. And for runners aspiring to achieve superhero status and who complete in the same calendar year a half-marathon at Disneyland® Paris and a runDisney half-marathon or marathon in the US, they may garner the coveted Disney® Castle to Château Challenge medal for their trophy case.

Runners of all ages just have to show up and have fun, thanks to a UK company, Sports Tours International (https://www.sportstoursinternational.co.uk/) that coordinates race logistics and accommodations for the weekend spanning two to five nights. A choice of distances is offered from kids races to 5K, 10K, and Half-Marathon. Guests experience Disney’s spectacular entertainment and hospitality throughout their stay. They receive entry to Disney® parks, hotel accommodations and can participate in a range of running events.

Run Mickey Run!

The main race, Disneyland® Paris Val d’ Europe Half-Marathon takes place on Sunday morning with up to 8,000 runners from all over the world lined up at 7 a.m. to complete the 13.1 miles or 21.1 km through Disney® Parks and the surrounding areas. On the days leading up to this event, opportunities abound for the family to get involved in, including the Disneyland® Paris 5K and the Disneyland® Paris 10K.

Disney characters positioned along the course cheer competitors on in their goal to finish – but also to have fun.

“This fall weekend is a great excuse for runners to come to Paris,” said Ross Litherland, Sports Tours International spokesperson. “This is a different take on Disney. Families as well as non-runners love it too.”

A Sports Tours International Disneyland® Paris accommodation package includes:

  • Disney® Hotel stays for 2 to 5 nights at a selection of hotels, with the option to add breakfasts, lunches and evening meals at additional cost
  • Park tickets to access the Disney® Parks for two days (additional days are available to purchase)
  • The option to buy a guaranteed entry into Disneyland® Paris Val d’ Europe Half-Marathon, Disneyland® Paris 5K, Disneyland® Paris 10K
