Tunbridge, July 3-5
Celebrate the versatility of America’s original breed of horse. Competitions in dressage, in-hand classes, junior amateur horse show, races, carriage driving and performances.
Burlington, July 3
Avoid backups and parking hassles by taking the train to the Burlington waterfront for the Independence Day fireworks. Trains run between Charlotte and Burlington, with stops in Shelburne and South Burlington.
Calvin Coolidge Birthday Celebration
Plymouth, July 4
Commemorate the birthday of the only U.S President born on Independence Day. A noon parade will wind from the village green to the cemetery, where a wreath from the White House will be placed at the President’s gravesite.
Middlebury Festival on the Green
Middlebury, July 5-11
Free, family-friendly programs at noon. Musical performances from 7-10 pm.
FM Point Battery Park Concert Series
Burlington, July 9-30
The classic summer series of concerts returns with four free shows. All performances are on Thursday evenings, beginning at 6:30 pm. Good Old War, Kat Wright & The Indomitable Soul Band, Ryan Montbleau Band, Alpha Rev.
Stowe, July 10-11

29th Annual Stoweflake Hot Air Balloon Festival
Stowe, July 10-12
More than 25 hot air balloons participate in this annual festival. Twilight and sunrise launches. Live music, kids’ activities, beer and wine garden, vendors, raffle prizes.
Burlington, July 10
Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act with a picnic at noon. Adaptive sporting program vendors and Burlington Mayor Weinberger will attend.
9th Annual Champlain Islands Open Farm and Studio Tour
