New deluxe tour caters to independent-minded travelers seeking increasingly popular home-stay vacations

DENVER, CO – Africa Adventure Consultants announced today that it will now combine the popularity and comfort of staying home with the excitement and wonder of going on safari. TheSouth Africa Home Stay Safari has been designed for independent-minded travelers who also want to enjoy high quality accommodations and experiences. The safari starts with a stay in the “Mother City”, Cape Town, with guided tours and accommodations at a boutique city apartment home. Next travelers visit the Cape Winelands, and then self-drive the scenic Garden Route, enjoying overnights in private villas. Guests finish with a Big 5 wildlife safari, enjoyed from a private farmhouse/villa at Kwandwe Private Game Reserve.

“Two of the hottest trends in travel are independent travel and private home stays. Traditionally, this hasn’t been available in Africa. That is, until now,” said Africa Adventure Consultants President Kent Redding. “Our new South Africa Home Stay Safari elegantly melds independent travel, accommodations in private houses and villas, guided-sightseeing and Big 5 wildlife safaris all in one.”

Travelers  on the South Africa Home Stay Safari will be able to avoid traditional tourist hubs but remain close enough to enjoy the top sites and experiences available in each area, all the while and enjoying a luxury “home away from home” experience. This safari is not the kind of tour where you live with a local family in their house. Instead guests will enjoy the use of private homes and villas with balconies, fireplaces, updated kitchens and magnificent views. Due to the size of the private homes, the tour is designed for six guests sharing 3+ bedroom accommodations, and the tour can be customized for smaller and larger groups. While not created specifically for families, this itinerary is a great option for multi-generational families looking to stay under one roof and set their own pace for their safari.

”So many people now use VRBO and Airbnb to book accommodations all over the world, but Africa is still a place where there’s a great need for more help and guidance when picking city accommodations, arranging tours, and choosing the best game reserves. With this safari, we’ve made it easy for people to have the best of both worlds—an independent home stay vacation and a great safari,” said Redding.
