Pure Adventures launches new trips for cyclists who want a stress-free, yet challenging outdoor escape

Scottsdale, AZ - This fall, Pure Adventures invites cycle enthusiasts to experience Western USA’s challenging and world-class routes with its newest travel concept, Supported Self Directed: a brand new way to cycle and travel that retains the independence of a self-guided trip, but provides the peace of mind of expert guidance and essential support. This innovative travel style is ideal for cyclists interested in taking their saddle skills up a notch, all the while exploring the rolling hills, epic coastlines, steep inclines and serene valleys of the American West. Pure Adventures’ new SSD trips debut this fall across California, Arizona, Nevada and Utah.

“In the USA, there are so few services here to support cyclists over such great distances, especially the beginner and intermediate set who still require some basic support” says Loren Siekman, founder and CEO of Pure Adventures. “We didn’t want these travellers to miss out on such incredible destinations, so after brainstorming with our expert team, we found a unique solution and the Supported Self Directed concept was born. We’re thrilled to launch the brand new travel concept this fall.”

Supported Self Directed travel is a new touring option for confident travellers who are interested in riding an epic route, and mastering challenging logistics with the support of Pure Adventures’ expert team. SSD trips include:

These trips open up difficult or isolated tracks to a wider range of rider levels. Travellers can tackle these iconic cycling routes at their own pace and freedom, but benefit from having some support, like detailed route notes and daily briefing, top quality bicycles, luggage and gear transfers, lodging, checkpoints every 30-45 minutes with water and snacks, and access to a daily bike mechanic who’ll even share tips on where to try the best brew in the area.

Non-riding companions are also warmly welcomed, making it easier for couples to travel and experience the destination together - for example, enjoying meals, the hotel and nearby towns during leisure time. Best yet, Pure Adventures offers fixed SSD departure dates, allowing for a minimum of six participants to affordably share costs, without the confines of sticking to a group itinerary. Custom departures are also available for private groups of six or more.
